Terms of Service

Last updated · May 2026

Welcome to MeetSpace. These terms describe your relationship with us, the rules that keep the community safe, and the limits of our role as a platform. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who can use MeetSpace

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and yours to share.

2. The platform is provided "as is"

MeetSpace is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to keep the service running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the service will meet every expectation.

3. Your interactions are your own

MeetSpace introduces people. What happens next is between you and the people you meet. You are solely responsible for your conduct, your communication, and any in-person interactions or meetups you choose to participate in.

We make no promises or guarantees about:

  • The behaviour, intentions, identity, or character of any other user
  • The quality, compatibility, or outcome of any match, conversation, friendship, date, or relationship
  • The accuracy of information that other users share about themselves

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetSpace, its founders, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • In-person meetings, dates, or any offline interaction between users
  • The conduct of any user, including harassment, stalking, fraud, scams, or abuse
  • Emotional distress, disappointment, or financial loss resulting from your use of the service
  • Service interruptions, downtime, bugs, or loss of data
  • Unauthorized access to your account, hacking, security incidents, or data breaches

Some jurisdictions, including parts of Canada, do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by local law.

5. Account security

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything that happens through your account. Choose a strong password, do not share it, and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

6. Suspension and removal

We may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts at any time — with or without notice — if we believe a user is violating these terms, harming others, or putting the community at risk. We may also remove content that breaks our Community Guidelines.

7. Prohibited behaviour

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm any other user
  • Impersonate another person or create a misleading profile
  • Solicit money, gifts, donations, or commercial services
  • Use the platform for prostitution, trafficking, or any illegal activity
  • Share sexual content involving minors, in any form
  • Post hate speech, discrimination, or content that incites violence
  • Share other people's private information without their consent
  • Attempt to access the platform's systems, scrape data, or interfere with operations

8. Intellectual property

The MeetSpace name, logo, design, and software are the property of MeetSpace. You keep ownership of the content you upload (such as photos and profile text), and you grant us a limited licence to display it within the service for the purpose of operating the platform.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from settings. We can also terminate your access if you break these terms. After termination, certain provisions — including limitation of liability and dispute resolution — continue to apply.

10. Dispute resolution

We hope you'll talk to us first if anything goes wrong — most issues can be resolved by emailing our team. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration where permitted, and otherwise by the courts of the province of British Columbia, Canada. Nothing here prevents you from exercising rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use MeetSpace after an update means you accept the new terms.
