What we collect
When you use MeetSpace, we may collect:
- Account information — your email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text)
- Profile information — first name, age, gender, city, bio, interests, and other details you choose to share
- Photos — images you upload to your profile
- Preferences — date style, availability, dealbreakers, and other matching details
- Location — at the city level, to help suggest nearby people and venues
- Device and usage data — browser type, device, approximate location from IP address, and basic analytics about how you use the app
How we use your information
- To create and operate your account
- To match you with compatible people and recommend places to meet
- To improve the platform, fix bugs, and design better features
- To keep MeetSpace safe — for example, by reviewing reports and detecting abuse
- To send important account or safety notices
Where your data is stored
MeetSpace uses Supabase, a trusted backend platform, to store account information, profile data, and uploaded photos. Data is held on secure servers and protected by industry-standard safeguards.
Cookies and sessions
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure overall usage of the app. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Who can see your information
Your profile is only visible to other MeetSpace members within the matching experience. We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers (such as our hosting and analytics partners) strictly to operate the platform.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting hello@meetspace.app. We will remove your profile and personal information, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or safety reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information — encryption in transit, secure authentication, and access controls. No system, however, is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use MeetSpace knowing that no online service can fully prevent every possible breach or unauthorized access.
Your choices
- Edit or remove information from your profile at any time
- Manage notification preferences from settings
- Request a copy of your data, or its deletion, by emailing us
Children
MeetSpace is intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Updates
We will let you know in the app or by email if this policy changes in a meaningful way.
